Rory Hearne
Rory Hearne is an Assistant Professor of Social Policy in Maynooth University, specialising in housing policy and housing rights. He makes regular appearances on national TV and radio as an expert on Ireland’s housing policy, including Prime Time, The Brendan O’Connor Show, and The Blindboy Podcast. He has written articles for TheJournal.ie and The Irish Examiner. He is the author of Housing Shock: The Irish Housing Crisis and How to Solve It (2020).
Alice Hunter
After completing a psychology degree, Alice Hunter became an interventions facilitator in a prison. There, she was part of a team offering rehabilitation programmes to men serving sentences for a wide range of offences, often working with prisoners who’d committed serious violent crimes. Previously, Alice had been a nurse, working in the NHS. She now puts her experiences to good use in fiction. THE SERIAL KILLER’S WIFE draws heavily on her knowledge of psychology and the criminal mind.
Samara Hardy
Samara Hardy has always loved to draw. Unfortunately for her parents, this was often on their walls with her mother’s lipstick. Realizing she might make a career out of this she studied illustration at Falmouth University and, since graduating in 2014, has worked with clients across the globe on picture books, homewares, greetings cards and more. She currently lives and works from her home studio in a small village just outside Tunbridge Wells.
Robert L. Harris
Robert Harris was appointed to the warden service on Skellig Michael, County Kerry, in 1987, where he has been managing the guiding system and monitoring the island for over 30 years. He has lived most of his life near the sea and on islands, and he has a great interest in both monastic and natural history. He spends May to October on Skellig Michael when the island is accessible, and in winter months lives at his home in County Leitrim with his wife, Maigread.
Elisabeth Hobbes
Elisabeth’s writing career began when she finished third in Harlequin’s So You Think You Can Write contest in 2013 and hasn’t looked back. She teaches Primary school but would rather write full time because unlike five year olds her characters generally do what she tells them. She spends most of her spare time reading and is a pro at cooking one-handed while holding a book.
She lives in Cheshire because the car broke down there in 1999 and she never left.
