Born in Sapporo in 1966, Takuya Asakura graduated from the University of Tokyo. He won the first ‘This Mystery is Amazing!’ Grand Prize in 2002 for Yokkakan no Kiseki (The Miracle of Four Days), which was subsequently made into a film and sold over 1.3 million copies. Takuya is also a translator and translated Matt Haig’s The Midnight Library from English into Japanese.

Shahnaz Ahsan
Shahnaz Ahsan is an author, columnist and award-winning food writer. Her debut novel Hashim & Family was an Observer Best Book and was shortlisted for the Guardian Not the Booker Prize. Her articles and recipes have appeared in national daily newspapers and magazines, and have won grants from the Society of Authors and the Guild of Food Writers. Born and raised in West Yorkshire, Shahnaz is of British-Bangladeshi heritage, and has also lived in the USA, Ethiopia and Zimbabwe.
Deborah Allwright

After the hugely successful She’ll Be Coming Round the Mountain and the critically acclaimed Don’t Read this Book! Deborah is one of Egmont’s most celebrated and successful illustrators. She works in a studio in Islington, stopping only to attend designer clothes sales, and to do a spot of DJing at music festivals.
